A luxe hand block printed silk scarf in traditional Ajrak pattern, using natural (vegetable) dyes and teak wood blocks that are passed on from generation to generation. It’s a beautiful, one-of-a-kind addition to any wardrobe, and can be worn in myriad of ways.
Ajrak printing is possibly the oldest known block printing method, and dates back to Indus Valley Civilisation. It only uses natural, plant based material, and is mostly found in deep crimson and indigo shades. It takes approximately 2-3 weeks to produce an Ajrak, and is a laborious process that requires skills honed over time.
Made in Sindh, Ajrak is a matter of pride and a cultural symbol for the natives. Artisans who worked on this have been involved in Ajrak making for decades, and the craft is passed on from one generation to another. Premium quality silk is used instead of cotton to make this scarf an extraordinary addition to elevate your outfit.
